DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIALS/GIFTS

 Know who you are
In my old post " you are who you are " i pointed out a few things, we often ignored about ourselves as Christians. Our value or importance in Christ and even in life. One fact we ought to know is that we all are children of the Most High God and therefore, inherit the blessings that come from the Father. In Him and with Him, all things are possible and we can do all things through Him. In 2 Corinthians 3:18 ..."And we ... are being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is in the Spirit..." there is the assurance of increasing Glory, victory and success. You hold the power to Grow in glory, therefore there is no room for failure. If you understand this, and if you believe, there is nothing to fear.

Detox the Do's and Who's
The Do's and Who's, our Habits, our thoughts and even the people around us. We lose focus on what is necessary and accommodate our negative actions and thoughts. This may be the new beginning for you and probably in a new direction away from what you are comfortable with. Mind you, "Great things never came from Comfort zones" so do not be scared to embrace the change. The change begins within your mindset and thoughts. Clear your mind off negative thoughts, renew your mind with the things that edify and renew your spirit. Certain habits like procrastination, or laziness, just to mention a few must go. Stay away from the things and people that add no value to you.

Surround yourself with Positivity
Don't be scared to walk away from the "drama" as we call it. Take measures to create positive vibes around you. Make the Bible your go-to book, read novels or books that inspire and motivate you. The music we listen to these days are sometimes contaminated with foul words and can only be depressing, so why not try something different? Lets do more of the inspirational and uplifting songs with positive lyrics. Take a well deserved break from anything that stresses you out. You need a sound mind to embrace the new you!

Identify your Strengths and Work on them
We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us Romans 12:6-8 . These talents and gifts were planted in us for use and for His glory. They are not to be hidden. You are wrong if you are thinking that the only talent you were blessed with is singing, just because you have a great voice, or it is dancing, just because you cam move with the beat. There is a lot more in you, waiting to be discovered. Listen to yourself more, and be more observant, you would notice the things you do great in, you would notice the things you are complimented on mostly. Identify them, and when you do, work on them. Get all the assistance and help you can get to develop it. Get close to those who have been there before and can help you get through. Read more on them, practice more, but more importantly, you must seek honest opinions from others. This is when a lot of people give up, but don't be counted as one of them. The reviews may be disheartening and very discouraging, but take them as helpful criticism. It can only get better.

Try New Things, Be Adventurous
Break the ice, get out of your comfort zone and try out new things. As stated earlier, you are not limited in the blessings and gifts from God. He said, "As far as your eyes can see, I will give to you..." that promise applies to you too. If you were never comfortable standing before a crowd and speaking, start now. You never know where your leadership or counseling skill will begin to show. If you have never led a worship team, then this may be your chance. You are a worshiper in the waiting. Sometimes, all you would ever need is that first try. God will lead you if you let him. Do not be confined within your strengths.

Bless the world with it
You might have discovered a lot by now. Praise God for that! Remember, these gifts were given to you for a purpose and all to His Glory. Enjoy it, Have fun and help others. If you found yourself to be an inspirational speaker, then go out there and touch lives with the words God speaks through you. If you discovered that you are a comedian, then please go out there and make others laugh. There is no need to be judgemental because every gift counts. There are millions of souls out there in need of help and people, to touch them in various ways. It could be through music, so go ahead and write that song. It could be monetary, so why not be a philanthropist. It also could be food,so why not cook for the hungry and needy. Bless a soul out there with your gift.

Stay Blessed

OOTN- Girls Night Out

Hello Everyone!!
My apologies for the time gone without posting. I have been very occupied with many events and responsibilities i had no control over. I did miss posting though, if that helps lol. Hope you all doing well out there. So i decided to share with you an outfit of the night. This is what i would wear out with my girls for a night out.(One out of many options) I would share many other outfit ideas Later. I am not a Makeup guru, but i definitely applaud myself for such a beat face (I know i know lol).

Bodycons Can either make you or break you in fashion. Don't get me wrong, all body types and shapes can wear them. I personally love this dress but not my favorite. It exposes a bit much but Very colorful and flattering. I had to wear this with a blazer , not only because it was a bit cold that night but also (optional) to cover up a bit more. The details on this dress gives me life. The colors are pretty and front zippers on any dress to me, is daring lol

Below is a video of my outfit on youtube, I hope you like it. Do comment if you want to see more of these... I will post more from now on by Grace. Outfit details down below. Thanks luvlies!

Fashion Styling/ African Inspired OOTD (3)

Hey everyone,
I really haven't been posting a lot lately, and That is definitely because i have been a bit tied up with a lot. That should not be an excuse but Trust i would definitely do that soon. This is another Outfit i put together for AFRABA. Some of you may already know this, but for those who may not, My previous Posts will shed more light on it. Below is an outfit for the ladies:
Here is a more casual look for the summer. A simple coral chiffon shirt paired with studded denim shorts for a bit of detailing. For a more covered up look, you can simply switch or replace these shorts with high waist denim paints or simple denim pants. The Ankara Ear studs and the triple pyramid ring have beautiful studs, or stones on them which draw a bit of attention to you without doing too much. I absolutely love this look because it works well with all looks; thick, skinny, short and tall. I know you ladies can pull this off without a sweat ;-)

Fashion styling 2 With AFRABA

Hi everyone!
I came back today with another look and this time, NOT for our Ladies, BUT our Handsome men. As shown and stated in my previous post Fashion Styling 1, I was given the opportunity this summer to style their Designs and accessories with the Trends of the season. Mixing urban trends with Culture and african inspired Fashion items could be a struggle for many out there so Hopefully this helps you men out there :).
The item chosen in this Style is the plaid bowtie above. The bow tie is unisex and therefore can be worn by all. Lightweight and really a statement piece. There are some fashion pieces, we all must have in our wardrobe and a bow tie is one of them. This look is suitable for weddings, drink ups, happy hour, work, and others. This is a basic Blue Dress shirt with brown khaki pants, worn with brown leather dress shoes. Due to the basic colors i added on a match darker shade of a brown belt and wrist watch to get noticed. A pair of cuff links to match the main colors displayed and of course our Afraba plaid bows. The Sun glass is very optional, and does not need to be worn. Trust me you don't have to spend a fortune to get this look. Like, comment and share

Fashion Styling/African Inspired 1

Hello friends,

It has definitely been a while since i last posted on this blog, but trust me I had you all in mind. Today i decided to share this with you. I did some styling for "AFRABA" , An african inspired clothing and accessory line based in the US. I had to show how i would blend in some of their african inspired pieces with the fashion trends out there today. Not as easy as you may think you know. Considering the different prints involved, It took a lot of brain storming and i must say that, It came out good. This was the first outfit i put together .Hope you like this.

This necktie is Awesome! Couldn't wait to get styling lol .This outfit did it all for me and i believe it should for all the fashionista's out there. Girls night out, Business meetings, Drink Ups, Happy Hour, Party, Meet and Greets,  ....Name them. For we ladies who like to cover up and still look like a million bucks, this is probably a go to look for you. It covers up the chest area perfectly and yet grabs attention in the same area due to the gold detailing on the collar and neck tie. The skirt could be purchased according to preferred length. Those heels also give you a clean and sexy look. Not too much details on them. A textured clutch to add on and hey, who doesn't want a lil' bling bling here and there haha!
Look Beautiful and stay Beautiful
XOXO!
